SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG with changes to the Board of Directors
Lucerne, March 26, 2018 - SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG, a world leader in special long steel, announces that the Board of Directors has decided in its meeting today to propose to the Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2018 the election of Isabel Corinna Knauf as a new independent member of the Board of Directors. The two current members Vladimir Polienko and Dr Heinz Schumacher will not stand for re-election.
Isabel Corinna Knauf (GER, 1972) holds a degree in mining engineering from RWTH Aachen University. Among other positions, Ms Knauf was Head of the Corporate Development / M&A Division at ThyssenKrupp Steel AG. Since 2006 Ms Knauf is a member of the Group Management Committee of the Knauf Group, a leading manufacturer of building materials with sales of around EUR 7 billion.
The Board of Directors of SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG is pleased to propose to the Annual General Meeting with Isabel Corinna Knauf a personality who ideally complements the Board of Directors with her extensive experience.
